Today’s post is another from our Tiger Bay series. This one shows a great example of young Cypress trees growing in swampy conditions. A lot of visitors never see this side of Florida but it remains an essential part of the ever changing landscape. This is what original settlers saw as they migrated to find places to build settlements which would eventually grow into the big cities we now see.
Mamiya 645 Pro, 80 mm lens, #25 red filter, Ilford HP5 @ 200. The warmer tones were achieved on this silver gelatin image using only Sepia toning which works on the highlights only.
Have a wonderful day from both of us in a windy, grey, cooler Florida
