Any new camera has a learning curve and our new Canon Eos Rebel T5i showed us that we still have a lot of experimenting to do. Marks has been busy reading the manual. I’m more of a hands on type of learner. Together we’re figuring out that this little camera does a lot more and I’m sure there’s more to discover. The best part of these cameras for both of us has been the reduction of weight of equipment in our backpacks. With the medium format cameras we were carrying between 25 and 35 lbs as well as heavy duty tripods. An hour into the shoot both of us would be ready to shed our packs due to aching backs (aging is not for the feint of heart). With these new cameras neither of us really felt the backpacks at all and we found we could walk for hours.
For the purpose of this learning curve we decided to shoot in color which we know most of our followers are not used to seeing from us. So here are a few of us in Bulow Woods from both of our perspectives.
Hope you enjoy a peek into the diversity of ” the wilder side of Florida”.
