  1. This is sure a different side of Florida from all the pictures you’ve shared! What a neat change of pace!

So we have something more in common… we have thistles up here as well. Believe it or not, almost all of our horses have loved eating them! We’ve had a couple that down them, stickers and all. Most have a neat way of sticking their teeth out, pulling their lips way back so it almost seems like they are taking their dentures out, and then ever so carefully clipping off those lovely blossoms! That I can understand, but the ones who choose to eat the plants, stem and all????

    • We thought we’d change it up a bit Sam. It’s been a crazy few months. Bad weather, lots of rain and wind. More wind than rain and grey skies. We’ve both got a bad case of cabin fever. Have a great weekend πŸ™‚

    • Thanks so much dear de Wets. Yes, our weather has been a bit of a downer but we try and get out and about. Today we were surprised by an Osprey who sat in the pine tree behind the house eating his lunch of fish. Out came the cameras. Then a flock of American Ibis decided to stop by and take a rest from the gusty wind. They’re out and about looking for a place to roost. Sometimes we don’t even have to leave home as nature comes right to us πŸ˜‰
