This star burst tree, as I like to call it, was taken by me at Princess Place Preserve along Pelicer Creek in Central Florida. The dark sky and the highlighted areas are a product of the Ilford SFX Infrared sensitive film used in combination with the opaque R72 filter.

Taken by Marks along Bulow Ditch you get an idea of the tangle of scrub, bushes and trees found in the woods of Florida.

Tree branches starkly outlined against the light foliage. This really shows the infrared effect.

Different types of film displayed will give you an idea of the difference between regular black and white film and the infrared sensitive film that I’ve been using.
Enjoy and have a wonderful day.
“Trees in Infrared” is absolutely gorgeous!! “Star burst Tree” is my 2nd fave… of course they are all awesome as per usual 😀
Thanks Salty. While it’s still cool enough, we’ve been spending time photographing instead of blogging. I’m guessing you’re doing the same. Seems like there’s less people blogging these days 🙂
Hi!! Sorry, I’ve been away for a while and I am just now catching up. Seems like I’m doing that more often these days… This is my first year blogging and with summer coming I find myself spending more time outside – gardening, swimming, what-not. And, I think you are right, there doesn’t seem to be as many people blogging right now. All the people from the ‘cold places’ must’ve thawed and are out shaking off the cabin fever or something. So, I guess it’s not the worst time to be slacking off. Ebb and flow, right!?!
I hope ya’ll weather this lil’ tropical nuisance OK and are getting on well!
All my best, Salty
